Each maze is guaranteed to have one and only one path between any two cells of the maze. This means that every cell can be reached from every other cell (there are no boxed-off areas). The puzzle tells you how many walls each cell has, and below and the right of the puzzle it tells you how many cross-walls there are in that row or column. ![]() The Knarly Mazes tutorial will show you some of the many deductions you can make in this game. Alternate Image SetsBelow are alternate image sets for use with the Knarly Mazes game. They're stored as self-extracting archives (ZIP files that have been turned into EXE files). Just download the desired file and run it to install. The files should be installed in the IMAGES sub-folder of the folder containing your Knarly Mazes game (C:\EKS\KMAZES\IMAGES is the default). WHINGE - contains two image sets. One (WHINGEGR) is the same as KMAZES2 (green walls and a small-red mouse target) but has a slightly different greenish-colored background for completed cells to contrast with the off-white background of uncompleted cells. The other set (WHINGEBL) is the same as the BLUE set that comes with the licensed game (blue walls, same colored background for both finished and unfinished cells) except that it has the small-red mouse target. UPDATE - contains a updated versions of the DROPS and HAPPY image sets that are included with the game. The original DROPS set had some erroneously colored pixels that caused some "garbage" in the maze display at 2 of the 6 image sizes. The original HAPPY set didn't have the best color for the "small numbers" used on the row/col buttons. Just download and run this file (and change the installation path if necessary), to update your DROPS and HAPPY image sets. KMBDR - 5 sets from Barbara De Roes that have flowers, insects, and tessellations with a colored background for all "completed" cells. (Added: July 14, 2002) DICE - a set from Jim Pemberton that has pictures of the faces of dice instead of numbers. (Added: May 20, 2005) KINT Interpreter Source CodeIf you're interested in the KINT interpreter source codes (which are mentioned in the Knarly Mazes help page about porting the game to non-Microsoft OSs) see the KINT web page. This will NOT be of interest to you, I suspect, unless you're a programmer. REQUIREMENTS:
