Present: Roy M Albert Jr, , Greg Alpert, Brianna Anderson-Greg, Lanoah Babcock, Laura Bryngelssen, Bob Burton, Kelly Christianson, Sean Delohery, Bryce Downey, Nathan Gaff, Billy Gaskill, Mike Gibson, Ryan Hopson. Greg Johnson, Everett Kaser (Presiding), Allyson Lickman, , Mark, Sophie, and Jack Martin, Kirk McCalister, Dave Pittman, Jesse Seibel, Jay Sexton, Nate Sexton, Shavonne Shumacher, Eric Smith, Dave Stewart, Doug Ulfers . Treasurer’s Report (Greg) current status – $4500 in club acct and $1100 in an account from Festivus registration, with quite a lot coming in uncounted tonight for that purpose. Festivus (Greg) The registration is full (88) and there is a waiting list. He described plans: Metal Flake plastic discs, gaters and destroyer will be for sale, not in the player pack. Greg requested contributions of food for the hot lunch that makes so much difference in the cold day. The course will be using 6 temporary baskets. One hole will finish close to tournament central. The special holes will be mostly different from previous years. The layouts will be put up on the club forum (Yahoo). We’ll need a fire tender, and fire rings. Adair (Jay/Everett) Jay has talked to Parks people about replacing tee pads with concrete and they haven’t said no. (They also haven’t said yes). The economics favor concrete as the mats which cost 80 $, are only lasting 2 years with the level of play we have. We need a new greenskeeper! The names of Eric Smith and Nate Sexton were parlayed without their initial assent. Roy Albert let his name be tendered. The following ideas were banter about in our discussion: of a lead person to work to engage the group in a consciousness raising of an email list that would go out to engage people in work parties. the idea of leaving an announcement of a work party on hole 1 tee pad was promoted by Greg A. Sean proposed putting ideas out on a face book page. Nate Sexton then volunteered to be the greens keeper with Roy Albert assistant greens keeper. (Note neither of them has a car or a truck) The club received this idea enthusiastically. We recognized that we will have to make this more of a corporate or club responsibility as we have in the past, when we weren’t riding on Everett’s back. Nate Sexton proposed removing the slanting tree on 10 and: five small trees on hole 7 affecting the long position. He will adopt a go-slow approach, clearing ideas with the Parks people, and soliciting Club approval etc, but he has several ideas for improving the holes including some new placements. Adair Doubles Mike G.: “still going on, come on out” Willamette Greens keeper (Greg Alpert) Greg is talking about hole 8 berm 3rd position. A second tee pad for hole 2 is being discussed which would be set further back to elongate the hole. Disc Sales (Dave) has a lycos which is a new Innova approach disc. There is a nice new wheelbarrow. Respectfully submitted, Bob Burton, secy.
