Willamette Disc Golf Club Monthly Meeting 11/2/09
Present: Dave Pittman, Everett Kaser,  Kelley Christianson, Jay Sexton (Presiding),

Ted Harbaugh, Mike Storrs, Rich Reichard, Mark Martin, James Hooper.

Treasurer’s Report   (Greg) 2300 dollars in hand with a very good stock of discs (500)

Hope Open (Shavonne)- More than 65 people competed, more than 1500 dollars were 
raised for the American Cancer Society.  22 women competed!  Shavonne plans to 
repeat it next year. Possibility of doing it a week earlier to go for better weather.

Adair (Everett) Teepad #11 wearing out.  Staircase on #10 project is our there 
waiting to get a new access to the berm for recovery of discs etc.  Some baskets
have been moved.  Parks intends to buy  a new practice basket to replace the
stolen one.

Willamette  (Jay and others): Question of using the old campground for a tournament
central and camping ground was raised by Mike Storrs.  Jay felt that Parks might
not see that as consistent with their long-term plan for that area, but if it
were a one-time event, they might feel good about it.

Adair Doubles seems to be going well. Now starting at 11.  Still fun says Rick.

Handicap Tourney at Adair (Mike Storrs) continues on Sundays, now starting
at 2 pm sharp.

Disc Sales (Dave) more disc sales this month than ever.  320 discs recently
bought to restock.  Currently 521 discs are in inventory.  Several (20?) discs
have been donated to the various tournaments (3 this month!)  Dave has
started buying accessories, including bags, straps, chamois cloths.

President’s Report: (Jay) President’s cup ran well!  Jay would like to know
some other venues that would be good for a short term (1 day) course to be
set up.  Jay wonders whether a combination of disc swap, sale and clinics
might be set up at Willamette on Nov 21std.  In past only WDGC folks attended.
Marketing this to the college students via their media, etc. Bob and Jay plan
to see if they can set up a clinic of several sessions.

David Pittman made announcements about OLE and Ninkasa tournament series.
